Joe Knezevich One of the original founders of Mystic Falls, Jonathan Gilbert has left his story in a series of journals. His descendant Jeremy Gilbert, Elena's brother, used those same journals to write his extra credit history report. Mr. Gilbert was a great inventor who designed and built a series of devices which Bonnie's ancestor Emily secretly enchanted with magic so that they would act as anti-vampire gadgets. Joe Knezevich, born June 6th, 1977 in Miami, Florida is an American actor. His resume is limited and his name impossible to pronounce, but the casting crew of TVD certainly did not make a wrong decision when casting him as Elena & Jeremy's ancestor and original settler of Mystic Falls Jonathan Gilbert. Joe earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from Florida State University and studied in London with members of the world renowned Theatre de Complicate. After earning his degree he chose Atlanta as his home and has been acting and teaching there for the last ten years.
Johnathan Gilbert
He is an associate artist at Georgia Shakespeare where he has appeared in plays and taught in the education department. In addition to his work on stage Joe has been seen in film and television, appearing in the TNT movie, "The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice", the Lifetime series, "Drop Dead Diva" and most recently as Jonathan Gilbert in our beloved show,
"The Vampire Diaries".

Harper
Harper was a soldier with the Union Army during the American civil war. He was one of the 27 vampires captured by the Founders secret Council of Mystic Falls in 1864.
When Bonnie and Sheila broke the seal, Damon got in to look for Katherine…He couldn’t find her and out of anger he threw the blood bag he had brought for her against the wall. This helped Harper, he drank the blood left in the bag and got enough strength to get out of the Tomb.
Harper finds a man in the woods and talks to him. The man seems to be worried about Harper, that’s why he apologizes before draining the man. Harper wonders through town and meets another vampire woman. He walks through the woods and arrives at a house where he meets the same woman vampire and meets Pearl at the entrance of the house. He shows himself very respectful and loyal to Pearl. When the other vampires try to betray Pearl by capturing Stefan and go out, Harper keeps defending Pearl and even Stefan. That’s why Stefan stops Damon from killing Harper.
Unfortunately just as Pearl a bad ending has been reserved for Harper… John Gilbert kills them both.
Sterling Sulieman was raised on the Island of Oahu from the age of six but was born in Oakland on the 26th of Marsh 1984. He cultivated his love for acting, singing and dancing in Hawaii. He attended and got his BA at UCLA
